Samantabhadra (Universal Worthy or Universal Good) is the Bodhisattva (enlightening being) of great action and practice. He features prominently in The Avatamsaka Sutra (Flower Ornament Sutra) wherein he declares that great wisdom is worthless without taking it into practice as great action. He also is regarded as protector of the Lotus Sutra and those who preach the Dharma.

Join us as we celebrate his goodness and worthiness by reciting and reflecting on his Ten Vows:
  • To pay homage and respect to all Buddhas.
  • To praise all the Buddhas.
  • To give generously.
  • To repent misdeeds and evil karmas.
  • To rejoice in others' merits and virtues.
  • To request the Buddhas to continue teaching.
  • To request the Buddhas to remain in the world.
  • To follow the teachings of the Buddhas at all times.
  • To accommodate and benefit all living beings.
  • To transfer all merits and virtues to benefit all beings.
