NAACP DeKalb County Branch #5192

The DeKalb Branch of the NAACP's Reconciliation and Remembrance project, in collaboration with the Equal Justice Initiative of Montgomery, is to remember victims of lynching in DeKalb County, Georgia. Red Clay Sangha's support of this program is a natural outgrowth of the sangha's pilgrimage to the EJI Museum and Memorial early in 2019, and the subsequent formation of our monthly Justice and Equity conversations. Red Clay Sangha has made a financial donation to this NAACP initiative.

If you’d like to learn more, to make a donation, or to volunteer to help, please visit the NAACP website, or contact info@naacpdekalb.org or email Dee Smith at remembranceproject@naacpdekalb.org.

Compassionate Atlanta

Compassionate Atlanta is a grassroots movement that seeks to raise awareness about the benefits of compassionate action in the Greater Atlanta area. Compassionate Atlanta was instrumental in getting the City of Atlanta, and also the Cities of Clarkston and Decatur within DeKalb County designated as  “Compassionate Cities”.

If you would like to know more about Compassionate Atlanta and the Compassion Movement, or would like to offer your time or financial support, please visit the Compassionate Atlanta website.
