Zen practice is based on the teaching that each moment contains everything that we need to know to be wise and compassionate beings. Yet this teaching did not originate with Zen. It stretches all the way back to the historical Buddha, to the Theravada and the earliest of Buddhist practices.
In this workshop, we will explore together ways to practice right in the midst of a full, contemporary life and discover a knowing that illuminates body and mind, all five aggregates of experience. Participants will experience a variety of meditation forms, teaching talks, and will have the opportunity for personal practice encounters with the Teacher. This workshop is suitable for both beginning and experienced practitioners.
