This Beautiful Practice
A One-Day In Town Retreat with Gareth Young
This Beautiful Practice Much of our conversation about Buddhist practice relates to cultivating wise and compassionate living, as well as calming ourselves and not getting caught up in what's going on around us! It's easy to focus on this "practical" side of Buddhism, and to forget that the practice itself is exquisitely beautiful. Referring to early Buddhist texts - the Anapanasati Sutta and the Satipatthana Sutta - Gareth will encourage retreatants to find the wonder and beauty in the practice itself and to explore and attend to it for themselves.
Gareth Young has been with Red Clay Sangha since its founding. He has studied in both the Zen and Insight traditions and his practice is informed by these and other branches of Buddhism, as well other spiritual practices and teachings from other faiths. His approach to practice is intentionally open and welcoming.
