Interfaith Food Sort

You are cordially invited to participate in the Interfaith Food Sorting Event at the Atlanta Community Food Bank (PRC) Product Rescue Center on Thursday, September 22nd from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.  This has become a traditional gathering during (HAM) Hunger Action Month for FAMA (Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta) members and those interested in interfaith activities.  Our goal is to have people sharing meaningful work together and periodically listening to stories from our different faith traditions.  We will end the night with a wonderful dessert reception. 

The Product Rescue Center (PRC) provides quality food, beverages, and health products to over 700 non-profit partner agencies in Metro Atlanta and the North Georgia area.

  • Requested Attire:  Wear closed-toed shoes.  No sandals, flip-flops, or high-heeled shoes are allowed.
  • Arrival Time:  5:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Sort will start promptly at 6:00 pm)
  • Age Requirements:  Volunteers must be at least eight years old.  An adult must accompany volunteers under 18 yrs. old.  One adult chaperone is required: per 4 youths under 10; per 6 youths 10-13 yrs; per 10 youths 14-17yrs.  All adult chaperones in your group will be asked to sign in upon arrival, and to accept responsibility for each youth present.
  • Physical Requirements:  Volunteers must be able to lift 20-40lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Parking and directions:  Directions to our facility can be found at    Please follow these directions, as some online mapping programs are inaccurate for our neighborhood. After parking, follow the signs to the PRC entrance located at the rear of the building.
