What:

Beings are numberless, I vow to awaken them
Delusions are inexhaustible, I vow to end them
Dharma gates are boundless, I vow to enter them
The Buddha Way is unsurpassable, I vow to embody it

Buddhists around the world, including Red Clay Sangha (prior to Covid!) chant this every week - or maybe even more frequently! Where does this verse come from? Why do we make these vows? And can we really take on these seemingly impossible commitments? In this study session we'll discuss these topics and explore how to make this practical and real in our ordinary, everyday lives.

When: Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 15-minute break in the middle.

Materials: A document of texts and sources for the session will be distributed prior to August 7.
