A ONE-DAY VIRTUAL RETREAT

With Charli Vogt

Embodying Kuan Yin We will study who Kuan Yin is and work toward moving ourselves to the place where we can feel her presence in the very cells of our body. This retreat will include components of learning, sharing, silence, meditation and movement.  Beth Lilly is also contributing content for the day.

Cost:  This retreat is freely offered.  Dana as a donation to Red Clay Sangha would be accepted and appreciated.

Charli Vogt has been a spiritual seeker as long as she can remember; starting with the Lutheran Catechism (as a child), moving through Pagan studies, Feminist spirituality and into Buddhism. She has been studying Buddhism intensely since 2007, when she received the precepts from Thich Nhat Hanh. Buddhist teachers have included Vipassana and Thai Forest teachers. For the last three years she has been intensely studying Zen, attending talks and presentations through Upaya Zen Center. She is personally studying with Sensei Shun’E Ulrike Greenway, and reading Dogen’s Shobogenzo with Kanshin Svani Grevemeyer (her daughter).

Beth Lilly began her Buddhist practice in 2007 in the Soto Zen tradition.  In 2011, she expanded her practice, and now centers around the Insight/Vipassana tradition.  She was a founding member of Red Clay Sangha and has served on the Liturgy committee, the Space committee and as board president.  She is an artist, an arts educator and curator. A long-time resident of Atlanta, she currently lives in Clarkston with her husband and two dogs who duly sound the alarm whenever Amazon drivers are anywhere in the neighborhood.
