One-Day Retreat with Gareth Young
Saturday, May 20th, 2023, from 9:00 to 5:00
Please join Gareth on May 20th for a day of meditation.
The center of our practice is not study of books, listening to talks, or discussing the dharma. While these can certainly be very helpful (and we support all of those practices at Red Clay Sangha), the heart of our practice is the study of the self, which we must do on our own. This retreat offers space to do just that: a day of silence to sit, to walk, and to reflect. No talks and no talking! The day will have alternating sitting and walking periods of approximately 30 minutes, with a break mid-morning and mid-afternoon for rest, taking a stroll, or journalling. There will also be a break at around midday for lunch.
All are welcome, no previous experience with meditation required.
