Practicing with The Three Treasures

(One-Day Retreat with Richard Skoonberg)

Saturday, November 18, 2023, from  9:00 to 5:00

In-Person and on Zoom

Richard and family have all tested positive for Covid, so unfortunately we need to cancel this retreat.

In this one-day retreat, we will examine the Three Treasures: the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha and how they support our practice. By "taking refuge" in the The Three Treasures, we lay the groundwork for an awakened life.

Richard Skoonberg

At Red Clay, he regularly leads the Sunday Sutra Service and the Dharma discussion that follows. He also the co-leader for the Buddhist Meditation Group at Emerson Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Marietta.

What to expect  This will be a full day of sitting and walking meditation practice, with time for group discussions. All are welcome, no previous experience with meditation required.

While participation for the full day is encouraged, for those who can only attend for a portion of the day, please feel free to do so - just be mindful of others, entering and leaving quietly...and if you would let Richard know ahead of time your anticipated attendance, it would be helpful.

Location In-person at Red Clay Sangha, 3315 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee and on Zoom (use this link).

Food Please bring a packed lunch. We have a refrigerator on premise for you to keep items cold.
