One-Day Retreat (Hybrid) with Charli Vogt
Saturday, August 19, from 9:00 to 5:00
[Details to come]
Charli Vogt
Charli Vogt has been a spiritual seeker as long as she can remember, through Lutheran Catechism, Pagan studies, Feminist spirituality and Buddhism. Her work as a nurse midwife is a major influence in her orientation to the body as a vehicle to spiritual realization. She has been studying Buddhism intensely since 2007, when she received the precepts from Thich Nhat Hanh and has studied with multiple Vipassana and Thai Forest teachers. She has earnestly studied Zen, attending many talks and presentations at Upaya Zen Center (Zoom), and is currently studying personally with Sensei Shun’E Ulrike Greenway (zoom), and reading Dogen’s Shobogenzo with Kanshin Svani Grevemeyer (her daughter).
What to expect
This will be a full day of sitting and walking meditation practice, with a dharma talk and a period of Q&A. All are welcome, no previous experience with meditation required. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sit & walk easily.
