The decision by Red Clay Sangha's board and membership last December to move from being a peer-led sangha to having a guiding teacher, and the election of Gareth Young as our first Guiding Teacher, was a major moment for the sangha. Gareth has long been an important leader to our sangha, and after receiving transmission from his teacher, Lisa Ernst, and the formal authorization to teach; everyone agreed that Gareth should the Guiding Teacher for our sangha. Now, just six months later, with Gareth’s leadership, we are offering new opportunities for practice and study four to five days a week. This is leading renewed energy and enthusiasm at Red Clay. We are very excited about the months and years ahead! Now it the time to formally recognize Gareth as our guiding teacher with an installation ceremony. This is definitely a cause for celebration at Red Clay Sangha. Please join us for Gareth’s Installation Ceremony at our space or on Zoom August 13th, from 3:00 to 4:00, followed by a celebration until; 5:30. The event will be open to all on Zoom using the regular sangha Sunday Service Zoom link. Interest in attending in person has been high, so we have mailed out invitations and are maintaining a list of in-person attendance.
