Retreat with Dhammadipa
Getting the Ball Rolling: Four Practices for Building Momentum on the Path
August 16, 7-9 PM (Friday evening)
August 17, 9AM-5PM retreat (Saturday)
August 18 (Dharma talk as part of the service)
Description
If you want to build up momentum in your practice, it's important to maintain consistency, particularly when it comes to meditation. Yet just staying with it day after day can be the hardest part. The early teachings of the Pali suttas offer guidance in the form of four practices that can be taken up by anyone who wants to get the ball rolling. This day of retreat together with Dharma friends, new and familiar, will consist of guided and silent sitting meditation, a Dharma talk by visiting teacher Dhammadipa, walking meditation, and optional sharing in a small group.
