Description:
We will read together some of the poetry and prose that is in the Lotus Sutra. (I have been reading the Lotus Sutra over the last year with my teacher, Sensei Shun’E Ulrike Greenway and 2 other friends.) We have discovered some inspiring insights which I will share with you as well as talk a little about how such an unusual text could possibly be translated. You will receive some snippets of the sutra as well as references that you could use for future study. Even though this text often seems somewhat obscure, you will walk away with ways to allow it to enrich your current practice.

About the Study Session Leader: Charli Vogt, (she/her) has been a spiritual seeker as long as she can remember. Her work as a nurse midwife is a major influence in her orientation to the body as a vehicle to spiritual realization. She has been studying Buddhism intensely since 2007, when she received the precepts from Thich Nhat Hanh and has continued to study with multiple teachers. She is currently studying individually with Sensei Shun’E Ulrike Greenway.
