Gareth's teaching authorization is in the Thai Forest lineage of Ajahn Chah, Jack Kornfield and Lisa Ernst.

What to expect
The purpose of this daylong is to reflect on death and dying in the dharma and to practice on how we might do so with a warm, open and peaceful heart. The same tools that we use in our daily lives on and off the cushion – mindfulness, meditation, and ethical behavior – can be applied to preparing ourselves for a passage that reduces fear and anxiety and instead cultivates joy, curiosity and peacefulness in the face of the ultimate unknown.
Our day will consist of periods of meditation preceded by a combination of poetry, sutta excerpts, chanting and discussion. There will be a dharma talk by Gareth and a 30-minute lunch period. We hope you can join us!
Cost There is no cost to attend this retreat. Donations to Red Clay Sangha are gratefully received.
Location At Red Clay Sangha's physical space on Hospital Drive and our usual Zoom account (link here).
Food Please bring a packed lunch. We have a refrigerator on premise for you to keep items cold and a microwave for reheating if desired.
