Forgiveness can be one of the most healing—and challenging—practices we undertake. Whether we carry regret for our own actions or pain from the actions of others, forgiveness invites us into a deeper relationship with compassion, acceptance, and inner freedom.

In this 3-hour dharma study, we’ll explore forgiveness as a skillful practice of connecting with the heart.  The three characteristics of human experience (impermanence, dukkha, and not-self) serve as a framework for understanding forgiveness and inviting qualities such as loving kindness, mindful acknowledgment, and compassion. These practices help loosen the grip of painful memories and support letting go.

You are welcome to bring whatever you are carrying - grief, remorse, anger, sorrow. Together, we’ll see how our meditation practice can hold and honor these emotions without being overwhelmed by them.

The morning will include readings about forgiveness from early Buddhist teachings in the Pali Canon. There will be time for meditation, mindful discussion, and forgiveness practice to support letting go.

All are welcome—no previous meditation experience is necessary.
