The Bhagavad Gita for Buddhists

(Dharma Study Session)

with Deborah Monroy

June 7th, 2025, 9:00 to noon, Zoom only

The Bhagavad Gita is central to various Hindu religions and this very short book contains many beliefs—and dilemmas--that we as Buddhists face. While remembering that Buddha encouraged us to investigate everything, let’s invite ourselves to a journey through the Gita.

We will look at:
What it is (backstory around the book); who we are (the Gita’s belief system is often--Buddhist); and--what to do?

What can we learn from Arjuna’s encounter with Krishna? What insights do we find that resonate with us in our daily lives?

This presentation will include brief periods of meditation along with time for questions, remarks—and contradictions.
