About the Hike
We are pleased to announce the hiking event, taking place on Saturday, Apr. 26! We invite everyone on a hike at Cochran Shoals Trails sharp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event provides both visitors and sangha members with an exciting opportunity to meaningfully observe the tranquility found in nature. Seeking peace of mind in the wilderness dates back to the original practice of the Buddha and his disciples, so we hope this easy morning stroll will help participants connect more deeply with themselves and their walking companions.
We will pause for a brief period of meditation, followed by a break for a packed lunch, so please be sure to bring the following items:

About the Mindful Moments Cultural Event Series
Each month, RCS is delighted to host cultural events that foster meaningful connections among members of our sangha and the wider community. These gatherings take place monthly on a Saturday afternoon and feature a variety of activities, including hiking, art, music, crafts, games, movies, and more. Our aim is to provide a relaxed setting where individuals can share their interests with others, while also building community. All are welcome.
What to Expect
After gathering in the space by 9:45AM, we will start the hike sharp at 10AM. We will pause for a brief period of meditation, followed by a break for a packed lunch. Familiarity with meditation practices and Buddhist traditions is not required. Bring a friend!
Lunch
Please bring a personal packed lunch, and perhaps a small amount of food to share with others.
