Overview and Event
The season of giving is upon us, and we invite you to help some people in need. Red Clay and Peach Blossom Sangha are partnering with this downtown ecumenical service shelter and doing a socks and coffee drive! The men are in need of new, white, athletic socks and coffee (preferably Folgers - no decaf, please!). From November 17 to December 15, there will be a box in the lobby to collect these items. On December 15, we will gather to write notes of encouragement to these men! For Red Clay, this activity will happen at 1:30** pm following the Sunday service. For Peach Blossom, this activity will happen at 5:00 pm before evening service. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community as a sangha, so we hope to see you there!
The shelter welcomes hand knit or crocheted scarves as well. These will be given as Christmas gifts to men at the shelter. Place the scarves in the Coffee and Socks bin.
