About the Film
Tashi and the Monk follows Buddhist monk Lobsang Phuntsok, trained under His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who returns to the Indian Himalayas to create a community called Jhamtse Gatsal: The Garden of Love and Compassion. The film centers on Tashi, a wild and troubled five-year-old girl, as she learns about love and healing in this unique community. This inspiring documentary invites viewers to reflect on compassion, healing, and the power of mindful care.
