Mindful Moments

Movie: Peaceful Warrior (2006)

Saturday, April 11, 2026, from at 4:00

In Person at the Sangha

We’re delighted to announce the next Mindful Moments event. This time, we will be watching the film Peaceful Warrior. As always, this event is open to the general public, and we warmly encourage you to invite friends and community members to join us. The viewing will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Light snacks and tea will be provided for the benefit of all beings.

About the Film

Peaceful Warrior, starring Nick Nolte in a memorable and deeply grounding performance, is an inspiring film that gently guides viewers into the practice of mindfulness through everyday experience. The story follows a driven college athlete whose outward success conceals inner restlessness, until an unexpected mentor challenges him to slow down, pay attention, and live fully in the present moment. Through simple yet profound teachings, the film explores awareness, acceptance, and the courage to let go of ego and fear. Peaceful Warrior reminds us that true strength arises not from achievement or control, but from presence, compassion, and meeting each moment with clarity and heart.

About the Mindful Moments Cultural Event Series

Each month, RCS is delighted to host cultural events that foster meaningful connections among members of our sangha and the wider community. These gatherings take place monthly on a Saturday afternoon and feature a variety of activities, including hiking, art, music, crafts, games, movies, and more. Our aim is to provide a relaxed setting where individuals can share their interests with others, while also building community. All are welcome.
